Participant Recruitment: This service involves identifying and reaching out to potential study participants from various community settings and partner organizations including the special immunology clinic. Our team engages with local communities to build trust and awareness about ongoing research projects, ensuring a diverse and representative participant pool.
Participant Screening: We conduct preliminary assessments to determine the eligibility of potential participants for specific research studies. This involves reviewing medical histories, conducting initial interviews, and performing basic health checks to ensure candidates meet the study criteria.
Survey/Data Administration & Collection: Our team administers structured surveys and questionnaires to collect data from study participants. We ensure data accuracy and integrity by following standardized protocols. We conduct focus groups and qualitative interviews to gather in-depth data from participants. This service also includes transcribing focus groups and interviews, as well as collecting laboratory specimens as needed.
Study Coordination: We manage and oversee the various logistical and operational aspects of research studies. This includes scheduling participant visits, coordinating with healthcare providers, and ensuring that all study activities are conducted smoothly and efficiently. Study coordination service will include Survey administration, consenting, and screening in a package instead of as separate services. Does not include recuitment.
Project Management: We oversee and supervise study team members and operations, ensuring efficient study progress. Our responsibilities include tracking study enrollment, coordinating study-related trainings and meetings, creating reports for regulatory compliance, assisting with financial account tracking, opening necessary accounts (e.g., JHS Approval, LabCorp), submitting invoices for payment, and providing general organizational support for projects.
Consultations: We Provide investigative tools (study design and methodology consultation, coordination, and mentoring support) beyond that which is available through routine grant mechanisms focusing on inter-relationships among behavioral, psychosocial, and biological processes.
Implementation Science Consultations: We offer support to investigators seeking to integrate implementation science frameworks into their research. This includes guidance on selecting appropriate models, identifying implementation outcomes, and designing strategies that promote the uptake, adoption, and sustainability of evidence-based interventions
Community Engagement: We link community stakeholders and researchers ensuring that community priorities are being addressed. We provide services to support and expand biomedical studies to include necessary behavioral and social science components, community-based research, implementation science and community engagement.
Community Council Feedback: Our Miami CFAR community council is a diverse group of individuals who serve as liasons between researchers and the South Florida Community. Our council can provide feedback with setting realistic expectations and facilitating community engagement.
