You are invited to participate in a research study about knowledge, practice, and application of the role of laryngology and speech-language pathology among singing voice teachers.

The goal of this research study is to determine the current state of knowledge and practices regarding voice disorders and referral to laryngology among singing teachers. This study is being conducted through the Voice Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. To qualify for participation in this study, you must be: (1) a self-identified singing voice teacher (2) over 18 years of age. You will be asked to complete an online survey about your knowledge of the role of speech-language pathology and laryngology for singers, and your current personal application of this knowledge.
This research was approved by the University of Miami Institutional Review Board, ID 20240996.
Completing the survey will take about 5-10 minutes. No compensation is provided for participation in this survey.
Participation is voluntary. There are no negative consequences if you don't want to take it. If you start the survey, you can always change your mind and stop at any time. Taking part in the study involves no risks. You will not benefit directly from being in this research study.
This survey is completely anonymous. We will not ask for your name or any other information that might identify you and your answers will not be traced back to you.
