You are invited to participate in a research study about knowledge, practice and application of mindfulness techniques among laryngologists, singing voice teachers, speaking voice coaches, and voice therapists. The goal of this research study is to determine the current state of mindfulness within the field of voice care. This study is being conducted through the Voice Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. To qualify for participation in this study, you must be: (1) a self-identified laryngologist, singing voice teacher, speaking voice coach, or voice therapist (2) over 18 years of age. You will be asked to complete an online survey about your knowledge of mindfulness practices and your personal and clinical use of these practices. Completing the survey will take about 10 minutes. No compensation is provided for participation in this survey. You can choose to complete or skip any of the questions.
Participation is voluntary. There are no negative consequences if you don't want to take it. If you start the survey, you can always change your mind and stop at any time. Taking part in the study involves no risks. You will not benefit directly from being in this research study. We will not ask for your name or any other information that might identify you.
